About Cubbywise
Meet Barnaby
A beaver who has spent his whole life turning tight, awkward spaces into snug, sensible ones. Naturally, he started a review site about it.
The idea
Beavers are the original small-space engineers — they take a cramped bend in a stream and build something that works. That's the whole spirit of Cubbywise. Most of us aren't getting a bigger kitchen, a walk-in closet, or a dedicated office. We've got the space we've got. The win isn't more room — it's making the room you have feel twice as big.
How we choose
Here's the honest part: Barnaby doesn't have a test lab, and we don't pretend to. What we do is read — obsessively. For every pick, we dig through customer reviews, star-rating patterns, buyer Q&A, and the spec sheets, across Amazon and beyond, and pull out the products that owners of real small spaces keep coming back to.
We pay attention to the boring details those listings bury — whether reviewers say a tray clears the cabinet frame, whether a rack scuffs the door, whether the thing still works in month two. When the reviews disagree or the praise looks thin, we say so. We'd rather stand behind three picks than pad a list to fifty.
In short: we read the reviews so you don't have to. It's research, not a lab coat — and being straight about that is the whole point. We start with the kitchen, where small-space frustration peaks, and keep expanding into closets, desks, entryways, and every other corner worth taming.
How we make money
Right now, we don't. Cubbywise is not yet part of any affiliate program — we link to Amazon purely so you can read the full listing and price, and we earn nothing whether or not you buy. If that changes down the road, we'll say so plainly.
Either way, here's the promise that won't change: money never decides the recommendation. We pick what we'd put in our own burrow, and we tell you when something isn't worth it. Read the full disclosure for the details.
